A Fruitful 2023

At Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, our 2023 year was full of successful events and major milestones in philanthropy. We are extremely grateful for our continuous supporters and would like to take a moment to acknowledge our 2023 accomplishments and thank our donors and community partners involved in the success.

• Panda Express has pledged to raise $441,992 through the end of 2030. They have already donated $110,234. The Panda Cares Center of Hope opened a musical playground outside of Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in March.
• We received more than $30,000 from local Chick-Fil-A operators through Cookies for Charity.
• Many kids were celebrated during the summer months at Macon Bacon baseball games and ran the bases for “Homerun for Life”.
• Dairy Queen raised over $80,000 on Miracle Treat Day in July.
• Georgia College Miracle held their annual Miracle Mile 5K color run in support of Beverly Knight Olson Children’s hospital in Macon on September 16, 2023.
• Our 2023 Children’s Miracle Network Champion Dodger turned 2! Dodger was born in September of 2011 and diagnosed with an imperforated anus and a tethered spine. At just 3 days old, Dodger had his first surgery and spent 8 days in the Neonatal ICU at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital.
• The new Virgil E. Cooper Jr. Pediatric Emergency Center Behavioral Health Unit opened in November.
• Navicent Health Foundation held the 31st Annual Reindeer Run & Santa Stroll on December 2nd with proceeds benefiting the hospital.
• Log A Load for Kids is a new CMN partner for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital.
