What is Sickle Cell?

An estimated 3,000 children are born with sickle cell disease each year, and newborn testing is an important step towards diagnosis and treatment. This September, Navicent Health raises awareness for sickle cell disease. While there may be no cure, Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health provides treatment to patients throughout the region.
